Here Comes Windows 8

March 5, 2012

Windows XP was introduced in 2001. A lot of people are still using Windows XP. It’s eleven years old now, and that’s a long time in the world of computers.

Since then, we’ve had Windows Vista, which never caught on (for good reason). Next came Windows 7, which I like a lot.

Now, Microsoft is developing Windows 8. It appears that Microsoft is trying to use one OS for tablets, desktops, laptops, etc. The interface looks like a smart phone, or a tablet.

I have not seen an expected release date yet, but it’s only in “developer beta”, so I think it will be quite a while yet. In the meantime, here are some videos of what’s coming.
