About

If you are looking for Great IT Support Services, you found them! I got my Associate Degree in Machine Design from Waukesha County Technical College in 1986. I am also Microsoft MCSA certified. I immediately went to work at a small manufacturer in Wales, Wisconsin. For a couple years, all my work was done with a drafting machine and a mechanical pencil. Eventually, we got a hand-me-down system from corporate, which was IBM PS2 workstations running DOS and Anvil 5000 CAD software. Eventually, we upgraded the system to Pentium 90 computers running Microstation.

My next move was a machine design shop in Racine. I finally got to work on machines with moving parts! There, I worked on Anvil 1000 and AutoCAD, primarily designing welding machines for Delphi. I’m still very interested in manufacturing and tooling, and all things mechanical.

In 1999, the technology field was booming. I heard the ads on the radio, researched the job market, and decided to switch careers. I went to Techskills and got my MCSE certification. I was hired by an IT consulting firm in 2000, where I supported small businesses, continued my training, and learned far more than I could in school.

In April 2011, I started Great Lakes Tech Services, LLC. Our focus is to provide Great IT Support Services to small to mid-size companies in Jefferson, Waukesha, and Milwaukee counties. We bring big-company technology to smaller companies. I am Microsoft MCSA certified, and I’m continually training on new technologies.

The Problem:

Many small and mid-sized companies in Jefferson, Waukesha, and Milwaukee counties face the same technology challenge: they need reliable IT systems to run their business but often lack the in-house expertise or budget for a full IT department. When technology fails—whether it’s a server going down, outdated software, slow networks, or cybersecurity risks—it can cost valuable time, productivity, and even client trust. Too often, businesses settle for “just getting by” with old systems or inconsistent tech support that doesn’t understand their needs.

The Solution:

Great Lakes Tech Services, LLC was founded in 2011 by Mark Mullarky to bring big-company technology and support to smaller companies in Southeast Wisconsin. Drawing on decades of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and IT consulting, Mark and his team provide hands-on, responsive service to ensure your technology works for you—not against you. Certified by Microsoft and continuously trained on new technologies, Great Lakes Tech Services offers practical, affordable IT support tailored to your business, so you can focus on running your company while they keep your systems secure, efficient, and up-to-date.
